Why?
The process is now more time-consuming AND complex than before, which can frustrate teens.
Brushing and flossing teeth with braces includes taking a little extra time, and a little more focus working around the brackets and wires to remove all of the plaque and debris.
What If a teen doesn’t spend enough time or focus well enough on removing the debris and plaque on braces?
—They can end up with bad breath and potential tooth decay.
It definitely takes a little extra patience to make the process doable.
