National Children’s Dental Health Awareness Month is an annual observance in the United States, typically held in February, to raise awareness about the importance of oral health in children. The main objective is to educate families and caregivers about good dental hygiene practices, such as regular brushing and flossing, eating a healthy diet, and visiting the dentist regularly.
At Canyon Creek Orthodontics we care bout our patient’s dental hygiene practices because it affects the success of the orthodontic treatments we offer. Orthodontic appliances like braces and retainers can make it harder for patients to clean their teeth but by promoting and maintaining good dental hygiene, we can better ensure success of all the treatments we offer while improving the overall oral health of our patients.
